About the project

In adition to animating the Pepsi Logos, I worked on the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show with Pepsi, Live Nation, and Linkin Park, serving as the onsite artist in Munich to handle live updates and troubleshoot during tech tests. After a last-minute playback issue, I re-edited the entire 6-minute animation in a single day, ensuring a flawless performance on show night.

Project Details

I had the incredible opportunity to work on the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show in collaboration with Pepsi, Live Nation, and Linkin Park. I was selected as the onsite artist in Munich, Germany, based on my previous work with Linkin Park on their Unshattered visualizer.

My role involved handling live updates and troubleshooting during technical rehearsals, ensuring the massive 7-minute animation ran flawlessly across the stadium’s broadcast systems. Working directly from the basement of the arena, I implemented last-minute revisions between run-throughs and coordinated feedback from multiple major partners, including the band, brand, and production teams.

During the final rehearsal, a misconnected cable on the field caused the entire animation to play out of sequence on the stadium screens. This unplanned playback was surprisingly approved by all parties, which meant I had to re-edit and re-time the entire 6-minute sequence within a single day to match what had been captured in the test broadcast.

Despite the intense turnaround, everything came together perfectly. When the live performance began, the visuals ran seamlessly, marking a rewarding end to one of the most high-pressure and exhilarating projects I’ve ever worked on.
