About the project

At Laundry, we were tasked with creating an ad that captured the spirit of the wild animals featured on the bottle artwork. The project was creatively led by Aly O’Neil, who handled the storyboards, style frames, backgrounds, and primary 2D cel animation. For my scenes, I received rough drawings in Toon Boom Harmony, which I then lined and colored.

Project Details and My Role

At Laundry, we teamed up with Juggernaut Wines to create a bold, high-energy ad that brought the wild spirit of their bottle artwork to life. The goal was to capture that untamed, powerful energy and turn it into motion that felt raw, fierce, and full of attitude.

The project was led by Aly O’Neil, who created the storyboards, style frames, backgrounds, and primary 2D cel animation. I worked closely alongside Aly in a super collaborative process filled with video calls, creative problem-solving, and plenty of laughter as we refined each scene together.

My role included cleanup, linework, and coloring in Toon Boom Harmony, plus light compositing and animating the end card in After Effects. I also handled the final edits and exports for both 16:9 and 9:16 versions, tailored for YouTube and Instagram.

I’m especially proud of this project because it went so smoothly from start to finish. Even though I hadn’t touched Toon Boom in nearly a decade, I picked it back up in just a few days and delivered polished results with minimal feedback. It was one of those dream collaborations where everything just clicked — great teamwork, great energy, and a final piece that truly roared to life.
